Graduation Sunday is Tomorrow, June 3rd!

Sunday School Graduation is at 9:30 AM, in the auditorium.

After a brief opening we will announce the classes and those graduating to a new class.  We have changed the classes a bit for the summer, so you won’t want to miss the opening!!  We will conclude the Graduation with each class dismissing together to their respective classes.

See you at 9:30 AM!   It would be a great day to bring a visitor!!

We are done!

We finished Revelation at 12:25pm, which means we read the entire New Testament in 21hrs and 25min! A huge thank you to all those who read, listened, prayed, encouraged, brought snacks, and supported the youth through the Bible Readathon. It was definitely a team effort, and we couldn’t have done it without you!

Bible Readathon begins tomorrow!

It’s almost here! The Bible Readathon begins tomorrow, May 25, at 3pm sharp! So far, individuals have committed to 21hrs of reading. Even if you’re not participating, we encourage you to come out and support those who are. Take a moment out of your busy day, and receive a blessing by listening to the Word of God being read aloud.

Participants can find more information available HERE.

Isaiah 55:11 “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the thing] whereto I sent it.”

Glad to go to Church!

Psalm 122:1, “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.”

Glad = Joyful, merry, caused to rejoice

We sometimes take the ease of going to church for granted!  The blessings of having a good Bible believing church to go to are numerous and glorious!  God tells us that the “faithful man shall abound with blessings”. It’s not easy to be faithful to God’s things, but it is definitely worth it!

Plan now to be faithful to Sunday School, Morning Preaching Service and the Evening Service tomorrow.  Spend time tonight preparing your heart to hear from heaven.   Seek to get a good night’s sleep.

Come to church tomorrow with the attitude of David, “I was glad” to go to church!!

See you in the morning,

Pastor

Bible Readathon update

Congratulations to our youth and all those who sponsored them for the upcoming Bible Readathon. We were able to raise a total of $3,832! Even though we did not meet our team goal of $4,400, we are very excited for all the youth who will be headed to camp in just a few short weeks.

Stay tuned for more information regarding the readathon. We will be posting the reading schedule this coming Sunday, May 20th, and there will be a short meeting following the evening service to discuss the event details.

There is still opportunities to assist with the camp fund. Please contact Bro. John G. if you have questions or would like to donate.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

Praise the Lord for another beautiful Lord’s Day!

As you have opportunity, seek to be a blessing to your mother today!!

Proverbs 31:28 “Her children arise up, and call her blessed;”

We have a special day planned for the ladies at McGregor Road Baptist Church!  I look forward to seeing you all!!  Morning service starts at 10:40 AM.

“MUMMIFIED” TREES MORE PROOF OF THE FLOOD

The following is excerpted from “Mummified Trees,” OneNewsNow.com, Jan. 9, 2018: “It was recently announced that a team of scientists found the fossilized trees on the ice-covered continent. They estimate that the trees are some 280 million years old and were preserved down to the cellular level after being rapidly buried in volcanic ash–preserved so well, in fact, that some of the amino acid building blocks that make up the trees; proteins can still be extracted. But Dr. Tim Clarey with the Institute for Creation Research says a more literal, biblical explanation that fits the science is that this is a result of the Great Flood told in the Old Testament. He explains that the most important thing the scientists noted they had found was that the trees had original protein in them. ‘It isn’t that they were frozen and preserved that way,’ he tells OneNewsNow. ‘These things were buried in rock. Just like the dinosaurs, we’re finding more and more original proteins and blood cells and blood vessels in dinosaurs as well. These things are supposed to be 68 to 150 million years old; in this case, they’re supposed to be around 280 million years old,’ he continues–then asks: ‘How do you have original proteins that survive that long?’ … ‘This is another example of Antarctica showing that there was a warmer climate down there at one point,’ he states. ‘It wasn’t always icy–that didn’t happen until after the Flood was over that the Ice Age really kicked in. In our opinion, at ICR, this fits exactly what the biblical story tells us in the Book of Genesis.’ He says to explain this in an ‘old age’ system is very difficult–and argues that the discovery of original proteins is scientific, empirical evidence that shows the world isn’t as old as secular scientists believe.”
