Remembering to Praise the Lord!

With the latest “Stay at Home” orders, and the extra time we have on our hands, let us take some of that time to ensure we are reading or bibles, praying, doing our devotions, and studying to show ourselves approved unto God.

The Baptist Bread Devotional drew attention to Hebrews 13:15-16 today, “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.  16  But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.” Even with our limited social exposure, this verse is very important for us to heed. It is a blessing that God has given us various ways to show Him our devotion through sacrifice. When we choose to praise God, instead of complain or grumble, God is well pleased! Let us communicate to others today who good God has been to us, and who God desires to be to all! This reminds me of Revelation 4:11, “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”
